What we welcome

Propose explainers, comparisons, histories, close readings of conversational habits or low-stakes prompts readers can try in ordinary exchanges. A strong piece has one clear question, a distinct central idea and examples that do not depend on private stories or unsupported claims.

Tell us the working title, the main point, why the subject suits this publication and how your proposed piece differs from familiar advice. Note any sources or factual claims that will need checking. Please do not send confidential information or material you do not have permission to share.
